A Bus-Sized Garden

Thanks to our generous hosts, we have a garden the size of the bus, bigger, if you include the paths. As far as actual growing space, we have about 200 square feet.

We built three raised beds and set up PVC pipe hoops covered with plastic sheeting in order to shelter at least some our cool weather crops from this spring's abnormally cold temperatures. So far, our peas, fava beans, leeks, spring onions, mixed greens, butter lettuce, spinach, bok choy, kohlrabi, carrots, beets, and radishes have all sprouted.
For dinner tonight, we ate our first garden fresh salad of the season. Baby greens and radishes!
