The Toilet

I realized that I have never posted a picture of our composting toilet, though I have written about our experiences using and emptying it here. So, here it is. Our trusty composting toilet.

The toilet sits out of view most of the time, but it is the key to making our bus life work. We have found, however, that it doesn't handle liquid as well as we would like, so we have started using some of our nitrogen rich, liquid excretions to turn saw dust into garden compost.
