t. When we got back to the bus with our new baby we were overwhelmed. We had spent 6 days in town for the birth and postpartum recovery at my parent's house. The bus was covered in unorganized shower gifts and a weeks worth of clothes and other trave
l necessities. Each day we struggled to do the dishes. Both of us put all of our time into baby care. That first week, it was hard to imagine that we would ever be able to do anything except change diapers and organize baby gear.
