The Bus Kitchen

The bus kitchen is amazingly spacious.

The sink can hook into a hose. There is also a hand pump system that connects to a bucket under the sink.

Our stove uses propane. It connects to a tank outside the bus.

    1. Hi,

This is absolutely gorgeous and I appreciate the effort you've put into sharing some of your experiences online.

I'm looking to create a Community Acupuncture Bus, a mobile Acupuncture unit to make this alternative method of healing more affordable and accessible, and to help promote awareness around acupuncture as a healing modality.
I'd love to talk more to you about your process of renovating the bus etc. Please be in touch if you're opent to it!

    2. Thanks Noah. It would be awesome make an acupuncture bus. I'll have to put you in touch with my husband. He has most of the conversion skills. We bought the bus partly converted and then added our composting toilet, hot water heater, storage futon, built in bookshelves, tiled hearth, and antique wood stove.

  6. Hi Katy! We are looking into purchasing a school bus conversion to take cross country - which means we'll need to insure it. Did you have to insure your bus? If so, do you mind sharing the company that you used? Thanks! Lynned

  7. Here's the link to my post on insurance. We did have our bus insured with State Farm for a drive across Washington state. http://www.busonomics.blogspot.com/2012/10/insuring-converted-school-bus.html
